Northland Little League (formerly Otsego Little League) Winter Clinics

*Registration will be posted soon and limited to 20 players per session

Winter Pitching and Hitting Clinics conducted by: District 1 Coach Doug Grey and Northland Little League Coaches

*Doug Gray grew up playing baseball with St Louis Park Little League and continued to play into his adult years. He has been a youth baseball coach for 25+ years. Starting with his own sons, Doug has been a student of the game, focusing on skill development for young players. Doug's experiences with young pitchers have developed some of the finest pitchers in MN. Over 15 of his former players have gone on to collegiate baseball careers. Doug is a clear teacher with a great personality that young players gravitate to and he looks forward to investing in your player. Coach Doug has seen how much summer pitching experience improved because of great offseason work. Coach Doug will be focusing on strong fundamentals of balance, pitching from the wind up and the stretch, proper arm slot and finish. Later sessions will offer opportunities for advanced pitchers to learn new pitches introducing ball movement and pitch selection.

Northland Little League coaches are volunteering their time again this year to continue to develop the skills of our players. We will utilize multiple hitting stations including a batting cage for the hitting portion of the clinic. Every player will have opportunities to test their new hitting skills in the cage. Bring your glove and hat, and a helmet and bat (if you have your own). Parents are not required to stay, but are encouraged to watch and learn to reinforce the skills at home.

The Pitching and Hitting Clinics will be held at Salk Middle School. Each player must provide their own catcher (mom, dad, sibling or friend) for the pitching portion of the clinic. Each segment of the clinic will run for 45 minutes.

Kare 11 News Story on Theft

On Sunday, October 30th, Kare 11 did a story in regard to the recent theft at the batting cages. If you wish to donate to the fund to replace the lost equipment, please use the Go Fund Me link below.

Batting cage theft

Unfortunately theft occurred at our batting cages and key equipment was removed that is used for training our Little League players.

Any information regarding this theft would be greatly appreciated and can be directed to the Otsego Little League.

A go fund me account has been setup if you would like to help us with replacing our equipment and help get our program back to teaching the kids in our community the game of baseball.
